hi all,
so new to Alcatel, i am trying to login to a 6450, what settings to do i need on putty. it seems to get there but just hangs with a green screen. i want to enable ports for POE.
i have a usb to serial cable that goes to a serial/rj45.

any help would be appreciatd

The switch uses the standard settings of Putty (i.e.9600 baud, 8, n, 1). It could be your usb-serial adapter, I have seen it on costumer site that some adapters do not work correctly with the Alcatel Switches. In that case you have to use a different adapter.
