[not sure this is the right place for this pbx model]

i have an purchased but unused box [without terminals] and want to put it into function and to buy 4039 or 4029 terminals for it.
my local dealer is not sure is it possible

alcatel box is named [reading from rear label]:
omnipcx office,
man.date: 2004/01,
soft rel: r3 10/20.4

dealer's oppinion is that box is maybe too old [but how, when the mfg date is 2007?] and not compatible with current 4039 or 4029 desktop terminals

i am told that older 4035 terminals are no longer availabele, and anyway, i don't need 100% advanced functionality of these new terminals, most users use them [except for conversation] to nothing more than to memorise few frequently called numbers. functionality at level of 4035 terminals would be perfectly ok.

any insight?

thnx in advance!

It's true. If your systems release is R3, you can't use 4019/4029/4039 digital sets. :(

BUT the 4035 Advanced (Alcatel ref num.: 3AK28044PL) and the 4010 Easy (Alcatel ref num.: 3AK28048PL) reflexes sets are availabele.

what a pitty!

please, just for the info, does it mean that 4039/4029 are totaly useless on sw r3 release box, or are they only missing some of [advanced] functionality?

TOTALY ! :(

But if you want you can buy the upgrade from R3 to R6, and you can use the new sets.
