Please tell me how to connect to console port of OS6900-X20 switch. Also the type of cable to use(straight,crossover or rollover). I have a DB9 connector and a Cat cable.

Same isue, i'm trying with USB/USB and miniterm like i use for 6860 but no tty??

Have you had a look at the manual?
I states the download link for the needed USB driver for the virtual console on Micro USB

Hi there... just found this post and actually get the same problem !
I need to connect to console Port but only USB port on the Switch. I tried an DB9/USB Adapter and then serial cable but nothing happened. Then an RJ45/USB Adpater with RJ45 cable and then adpater DB9 to my notebook for Putty but nothing.
Got someone a solution ? or direct link to get the right cable ?

I really don´t understand why it´s so complicated to get an answer ! Is this product so special ? and why we can´t find a PN from Alcatel for this Console cable ??
So, as I said I got an Omniswitch OS6900-x20 with an USB port in front for the console connection ! Need to know where I can find the right cable, a link, a tipp or something !

there differnces between the models. For the X20 you need an adapter with this pins https://dokuwiki.alu4u.com/doku.php?id= ... ter_os6900
The adapter will be delivered with every switch. I do not know any special part-number for it.

Hey, I need a console cable for an OS6900-x40. Can it be built the same as for the X-20?
If so, is a normal USB cable and then to a patch cable enough? This then into the adapter for Com?
