Hi All,
1st post so please forgive me if I'm asking any stoopid questions.

I's like to set one Extension's voice mail to only announce a message then hang up without giving the caller the chance to leave any message. I am using the 4635 and setting the VM options within the OmniVista 4760. There are Options to change the VM type to Announcement or Listen only Infocenter but these don't seem to work. Setting to Announce does nothing unless I delete the VM mailbox and recreate a new one with the VM Type set to Announcement. Then when hitting the VM box I am told ther are no new messages.

Any help would be helpful (ha ha) I can't seem to access the document area - on this site so can't access the 4635 manual - honest I would read the manual if I had it.

You need to access the 4635 directly (console cable). The 4635 has many different types of mailboxes, and I am sure there is a listen only mailbox that will not allow the leaving of messages.

Do I detect an Ali G accent in your post?

The option in the 4760 only works if you set the voicemail type before clicking on the green tick to create the user. Otherwise you will have to do it via the 4635 - like you have already figured.

Why not create it as a transfer mailbox and record the announcemant message in there. Then set the transfer mailbox to transfer to itself, so it just keeps repeating till the caller hangs up

In easy words: Set the Box type and COS during mailbox creation and do NOT a manipulation of a created box.

Got it working with your suggestions. What a pain ! used the Transfer option which works well.
Not sure where you got the Ali G from - did I drop a couple of vowles or what ?
