Jabra EHS not working on 8029s and 8039s

Hi guys,

has anyone come across an issue that the Jabra 920 Pro does not work with the 8029s/8039s?

We are using the same EHS cord as with the 8029/8039 but on the s series pressing the answer button on the headset does not engage the phone. There is simply no reaction. We tried setting the phone in forced headset mode but that didn't change the behaviour.

Did the pin out change on the s-series phone? Anyone got an idea?

We have engaged Alcatel Global Support.

Hi Michael, as for the 80x8s serie you probably need a jack 3 to 4 poles adapter

Thanks for the update and sorry for the delay in updating this.

We have checked the Interworking report, however there is a significant short coming with the amplifier version as it doesn't ring in the headset, so no good while you are away from your desk.

We did try a number of TRS/TRRS Adapters, however none of the ones we could order worked. If we used the 3-to-4 pole adapter cable supplied by Plantronics with their EHS cables, the Jabra cable started to work. Unfortunately Plantronics doesn't sell the little cable separately

Does anyone have the pin translation from 3 to 4? What is tip, what are the rings and what is sleeve.

There are cables from Alcatel for this; 3MG08018AA 80x8s Jack 4-3 Pole Cable

Jabra has now also released a new EHS cable which will be available in the next weeks specifically for the 80x9s. Part No Jabra Link 14201-37
