Hello all,

I am having issues with configuration of voice guides on an ACT 28 with GPA2 and CPU7-2 on slot 6 and 20. After some trials and failure we are not able to get voice guides working. I have followed the manual oxe12.4_sd_SystemServices_8AL91000USAK_1_en from page 294. I have rechecked rebooted the system but there is no success.

Configuration of GPA Dsp is ok.

We have two static voice guide files chinese1.msk and english1.msk for the two languages configured on the system.
The 2 files are confirmed to be in /DHS3ext/vg/flash/custom as for an ACT Media Gateway and are also successfully mirrored to /usr7/vg/flash/custom and can be managed in static voice guide files.

English is assigned voice guide index 1
Chinese as voice guide index 2

Voice guide numbers are there configured.

User sets are configured and language set to either 1 or 2.

Prefix created to test voice guides.

But voice guides not working.

Running vgstat 0 0 doesn’t show the voice guides

As I understand - for GPA2 board not declared VG index.

I have checked and rechecked the vg indexing in the GPA board and all seems okay but still not getting any positive response.

I have now attached incvisu logs and configuration of the system in the attachment.

Maybe you can guide me further based on the logs and system configs.

Thank you for the support.
I have tried as recommended but still no success.

At first I check vgstat 0 0 I can see the msk files at slot 3 and slot 4
Then it says downloading english1.msk....downloading chinese1.msk...
But there is no response if the download was successful or failed.

After when you check vgstat 0 0 again, there is nothing at all, you can't even see the msk files at slot 3 and slot 4 and yet configuration is still intact and msk files are still intact.

Is there something wrong with the msk files themselves? why aren't they unpacking the voice guides?

As far I can remember, that configuration is for moh (so only one guide per file) , and the msk file should be generated using AAS. Was that the case?

If users use language 1 and 2 (System - user language) - manage System/Static voice guide - specific msk file for index 1 and 2.
And this language index - manage for GPA2

In your case:
- managed index 10 and 11 (GPA and Ststic voice guide)
- but users use index 1 and 2 (System - user language)

Besides to check the good state of the msk files, you also need to create a voice guide (for instance 700), type=Single message voice guide, and assigning to the field Flash message for language 1, the identifier given on the AAS for that wav file (the voice prompt id)

Thank you for the continued support.
I will find out if the msk files are okay and were generated appropriately using AAS.
As I was struggling with the voice guides and the meet me conference (29+1 party conference), I realized I wasn't getting much success. But there were incvisu logs showing battery warning on the GPA2 card. As I understand there are 2 DSPs (Digital Signal Processors) on the board, one for voice guides and the other DSP for meet me conference.

And indeed when I pulled out the GPA2 card the batteries on the board had overstayed, and had stained parts of the board. We cleaned a little bit with Alcohol and installed new batteries. I showed my supervisor the board and he immediately shared pictures with the suppliers from China. I think they might ship another GPA2 board.

Maybe that's why the voice guides and meet me conference is having issues. Maybe.

What do you think? Attached are the images of the board, visibly looking seems like the board is okay.

No any alarms on the board. No incvisu logs indicating the board has failed.

Hard to give an answer. Better wait and test with another card
