if it connects to a analog port u shouldnt need to do much more in actis (my understanding atleast)

analog ports will connect to anything analog... modems, fax's, fax servers... ect - as long as u have a open licensed port u can do wot u want

Basic analog modem works, special Faxboards work better.
We use USB modems, MultiTech USB modem and they work.
Special boards seem to work better.

Hi Henk,

we have installed a fax server with an ISDN-Adapter so the customer has 2 Channels to send and receive.
In Actis is no Function for a fax server. You need a external software.
How do you want to receive the faxes? Want any subscrition have an own faxnumber or do you have one faxnumber for all?
If anyone want to have his own faxnumber you must work with the "ars tabelle" (i dont know the english word for tabelle sorry;))
