Camp-on behavior between IP, SIP and DECT GAP phones

Hi,

I am asking for some clarification on some odd behaviors with the camp-on feature.

Camp-on is already enabled for everyone. That is, if John is busy on a conversation and I call him, I can book him by pressing "5".
I list some cases here below to explain current behavior and what instead I would obtain.
Let's say that:
- John has an Ale-2 SIP phone.
- Sarah has an Ale-2 SIP phone.
- Robert has a GAP DECT.
- Mary has an ALE-400 IP phone.

- Ale-2 phones work natively with "two lines". That is, when John is on a conversation with Robert and Sarah calls him, he sees on the second line "Sarah".
- GAP Dects have only one line.

Case 1:
1) John is busy on a conversation
2) Mary calls John
3) John sees Mary calling-in on the second line. He does not hear any "beep" however.
4) Mary sees on the display "Busy" and hears a "free" tone. She can touch "Book recall" on the display to book him.

what I would want instead is: John hears a beep in his handset.

Case 2:
1) John is busy on a conversation
2) Sarah calls John
3) John sees Mary calling-in on the second line. He does not hear any "beep" however.
4) Sarah has nothing on the display informing her that John is busy. Moreover Sarah hears a "free" tone. She can press "5" to book him.

What I would want instead is: John hears a "beep" in his handset. Sarah is somehow informed that John is busy.

Case 3:
1) Robert is busy on a conversation
2) Sarah calls John
3) Robert does not hear any "beep" and cannot know that someone is calling him.
4) Sarah hears a voice informing her that Robert is busy and to press 5 to book for a recall.

What I would want instead is: Robert hears a "beep" in his handset. Moreover he can see in missed calls log that Sarah tried to call him.


Is it achievable the above?

So you are telling me that, by default, between Ale-2 phones configured as SIP-Extension with multi-line, in the example Sarah should be aware of the busy state of John? What should her see/hear?

case 2 yes sarah should see "john busy " even hearing ring back tone
case 3 blue question: nop; 51009 is my whole extension number , in this case my phone in not forwarded at all (2 multilines are not fwd).
the answered call on busy or free state should be marked as missed call,those parameters will activate missed call MESSAGES for internal & external
a led or picto will be bliking /solid to notify

Clear. Thank you for confirming. That term "SEPLOS" hence should mean something like "SIP Extension Proprietary Level OS" I suppose.

Excuse me anticipately for insisting on this, but I wanted to clearly understand this specific issue. Does not the fact that the seplos ALE-2 extension is natively a multi-line telephone somehow prevents the caller ALE-2 to "understand" that the called ALE-2 has one out of the two lines busy?

On this regard the business partner gave me the explaination that, since they are SIP phones, the source ALE-2 is "unable" to read the busy state of the first line on the destination ALE-2, since there is the second line free.

Haroun, I tried to setup a Telephone Feature COS "TEST", in which I placed three ALE-2 multi-line phones, two GAP dects.

I followed your instructions on how to setup the various setting but still I cannot hear any "beep" on the GAP when busy on a conversation.

TRY TO CHANGE IT AS Multiline station + NO -----YES by programming two multiline set with same number and test again
sorry I would have done the tests but actually we have no more dect system as it was taken by an another company .
