As far as I know not possible, too. I've searched for a way to do that, but failed.

Which safety problem?!?

The new BICS Server uses VMware. As far as I know they use an USB-Dongle as ID for OPS. But that is no solution for you...

It is very simple : It doesn't work except for the "4 hour limit, reboot me again" feature (call your fitter).

OPS license is dependant on the CPU id (through the software license key), ALU will not give you a license based on hardware they don't provide.
Their hardware is CPUx, CS or AS delivered by them.

hehe this post sounds to me more like: How I can get a VMWare license... 8)
The security issue is more like a "background"

I hadnt actualy set this up for an alcatel but i use vmotion for other applications There is a section where you can set the cpuid but you cannot change EAX=3 which is where the cpu serial number is.
