Can I select a different DID extension for outgoing calls?

Dear all,

I apologise in advance if this is a stupid question, but perhaps it's just too late today, and I'm not seeing the forest full of trees.

I have an OXO R5.1, with three-digit numbering plans. One of my extensions, connected to an IPtouch 4068, has DID no. 211. This DID is also signalled on outgoing trunk calls. On a per-case basis, though, I want this extension to signal a different extension on outgoing trunk calls. I could theoretically accomplish this by configuring an alternative CLIP/COLP number for the extension in OMC (and if I do, it works perfectly), but that does not help if I want to make use of this function more frequently.

Now the hopefully simple question is - is there an easier way to accomplish this than to reconfigure the extension each time? I'm willing to bet there is, but I'm also willing to bet that if I drink any more coffee to stay awake and keep looking for the solution, it will only get worse... :?

Thanks in advance for your help and
best regards,
Markus Stamm

Hi,

by "frequent" I mean multiple times per day so it would not be practical to change the set configuration using OMC each time.

Thanks in advance for your help.

i have this for a customer, basically they had several ISDN 2's. one of them presented a different number from the exchange. basically set it up so they dialled 9 for the normal trunks and 82 for the one displaying the different number. in this case though it was made very easy for me.

Hi,

You need to configure specific key on the set:

Keytype: "Resource key" – Keyfonction: "DDI Call". Enter the trunk group which contains the ISDN line (trunk group parameter) and the wanted DDI number (HBWC, eg. 431).

Making an outgoing call dialling the main trunk group prefix (9 or 0, country dependant) , the system will send the DDI number associated to this set in the public numbering plan (221 in your example).

Making an outgoing call using the "DDI resource key" will send the DDI number configured for this key.

Hope this help.

Kind regards
