Hi there,

I don't know how many people are going to answer here..
I am curious to know if the site helped you to resolve an issue on site.
If you did recommend it to someone, or if someone talked to you about it.
How do you usually get Alcatel Documentation ?
Would you like to see some here..
And any other comment you could have..

Thank you for your time..!

Well,

I am writing from Greece and I am in systems administration of a large company owning 15 Alcatel PBXs.
This site helped me solve many issues.
Some people can't have support very easily, we all know that Alcatel is a "close" community.

Keep up the good work !!!

Hello from Norway!

This website is useful for me and my colleague, and some Alcatel Documentation here would be nice :)
I was recommended this forum by a colleague who got good help in here for some Enterprise questions...

Keep up the good work in here!

I'm very happy this website exists!

Since our tele-provider (TDC, Denmark) informed us that they had 'oursourced' the phone-systems support (read: let users manage on their own), finding this site was a great relief for me being responsible for the phone-system.

Did the website actually help me resolve an issue? Directly, no but I was able to infer some of the information I was looking for from related posts, so the answer would be yes!

I really hope you can keep it up, it is already a very good ressource.

Best regards
Andreas

I've not resolved anything from this site, or actually received a reply to any of my posts, but documentation is always helpful.

Hi,

This is an excellent site and deserves to thrive, when we got our OXO I immediately tried to find out everything I could about it, but there is very little information freely available, which is very sad because the equipment is very good. This is the best free site there is for Alcatel systems.

Ideally Alcatel should allow official documentation to be posted here as it would greatly increase the general understanding and effective use of these systems, which can only be a good thing for Alcatel as it would encourage more people to use them.

My wish-list for documentation would be something covering the internals of the OXO, such as the Memory R/W labels, under-the-hood architecture, snmp monitoring, and certification.

Thanks.

I highly appreciate this forum!
I am ACSE and do have a lot of documentation so from my point of view I would not use it that much. But as long as not all the guys here have access to Alcatel BPWS many would like to see some docs here. I mostly read through some topics and pick out interesting things, espiecially On Site Troubles is nice. I´m sure I´ll have to use it myself one day. Every time I am on training I see that most of all on site technicians work the same way writing their own procedures for special configurations to hand it out to their colleagues, that would be a nice and helpful collection here!

Also from my side: keep on the good work!

Axel

This is a great site and we should pass over Alcatel Documentation. I also am an ACSE yet sometimes trying to solve problems via Alcatel can be tedious. On this site we can share information and on site troubles. Keep it going!!!

Indispensable site

This site is indispensable for system administrators with Alcatel voice switches. I've learned many things and gotten a quick and informed response whenever I've posted questions or problems. Keep up the good work!
