Cannot get PCM2 board In Service when Declared as IVR_Z30

Hi.

I hope someone can help me. I'm trying to setup a CCIVR server. The Server will connect to the ACT via a PCM 2 board. The instruction says to declare the slot for the PCM2 board as a IVR_Z30.

But to test the PCM2 board functioning or not, I've declared it as a PCM2 board on the slot and it can go into Init1>Init2>In Service. Then I'll eject the card and redeclared the slot as IVR_Z30. Then I plug-in the board again, and it went to Init1>Init2>Out of Service. I left all settings at default.

From this moment onwards, no matter how I change different slots or configured the slot back to PCM2, the card will still maintain Out of Service.

I pulled it out, left it unattached, next day i tried once more creating the pcm2 slot, and surprisingly it can be in service. Then I try again declaring it as IVR Z30, it became Out of Service again no matter wat I tried.

Someone PLLLEEEEEAASSSEE HELP!!

Not sure if can help you, but I upload the following PCM2 PDFs on Pastebin section, for you
-CAS_on_E1_boards.pdf [396.49 KiB] File comment: Functional description, management and installation

-PCM2_board.pdf [151.41 KiB] File comment: PCM2 board operation, configuration and connection

Is not the same but I had issues due to wrong connection of the tY5 to the ACT, and in my case I had to use a balum to convert the BNC connector to an UTP wire, to be able to connect it to the Cisco RJ45 connector. we have an old CPU3. Additionally we have signaling issues
But the PCM2 manual could be helpful for you

Thanx Isa,

I managed to get the PCM2 board In Service after changing a different board. I think the board could be partially faulty. Thanx for your help dude.

@Isa
i think that TY-2 whould be fine. Have you tried it? (this is normal G.703 link with 120 Ohms, use pair labeled 1 & 2, just like for PRA* cards)

Your problem was that you were using the old release of PCM boards which were not compatible with the Z IVR function
