FTP login suddenly doesn't work anymore

Hello,
I had two customers last week with the problem,
that the file /etc/ftpaccess was corrupted and no
ftp login was possible anymore.
I think both times it happened after a netadmin problem.
One time the file contains the content of the file
TunParams.mao and at the other site the file
was filled with the content of eth_redund.conf
I repaired/rebuild the file by hand it works now but
has anyone observed a similar problem in R8.0?

I saw a similar post a few days ago...now that those files are filled up with the content of others makes obvious that it is a bad script (so weird!) on alcatel side...

I saw this only on R6.2 on laboratory twice. However I don't remember the circumstances.

Hi All,
I had the same problem at a customers site running R8.0.1 g1.503.12.a
The /etc/ftpaccess file had become corrupt on the standby cpu only, the file contents were identical to the /etc/passwd file .. very strange indeed.
I ftp'd to the main CPU from the standby and copied the /etc/ftpaccess file.
FTP was again possible !

I asked Alcatel-Lucent but we closed the eSR because is was too rarely.
Here the statement:

I analyzed the issue and this is a bug which is very rarely seen.
This has to be analyzed deeper. So, please let me have the following information from the system which had the issue.
1, All the files from /var/log.
2, incvisu,excvisu,config all,listerm all, siteid and checkdb captures.

I can't deliver these infos (I also think they will be useless...) and I know the way to fix that issue.
So I won't waste my time to follow that issue.

Hello,
guess what: This thread just helped me with a 11.2 release system.
I do not know what exactly has happened before but I copied the content from a system which was working to the system which was not working (to ftp the file was not possible since ftp does not work but pasting the content into vi worked) and it works again.
