Hi,

We activated 4635 using VPU5, the system is working but the client encounter some unwanted noise (tsk...tsk.. sound during VM access) if the analog user wants to access to Voicemail number. But when we use digital phones there are no such sound heard. Has anyone encountered this kind of issue?

Best Regards

do you have SPA3 boards for voice accesses in voicemail hardware?

If so, try and load the latest 'hex' patch on to those boards.

The "tsk" sound is a detection mechanism and can't be disabled completely but maybe improved with another binary.

Go into the 4635 menu

Menu 1 (Country Dependant Parameter Table)

Enter function: c (Change)
Enter entre number: 0 (zero)
Upload from DLC or Read from MDS: u (upload)
Enter DLC number to upload from; 0 (zero)
Select display format: T (Text)

Then change:
Echo Cancelation ON: 1 -> 0
Echo Cancelation Level: 256 -> 64

After that, validate, and once you get the next menu:

Menu 8 (Download DLC tables to DLC card)
Enter DLC number to download; 0 (zero)

Check if the upload was successful:

Display DLS Card Status (9)

Code: Select all

DLC CARD #     CURRENT STATUS

DLC 2        Download done

After that, no more tsk tsk tsk at the beginning ..
