OTUC On Windows 2000 Server

I'm hoping someone has been through this before.. Or perhaps I can be pointed to some up to date documantation on install of (what components need to be) OTUC server and how to setup the 4980 clients... I'm at my wits end!!

I've installed the OTS 3 times each time blowing away windows.. It appears that all the services are running correctly and it is fully licensed... I've set up the user on the 4400 as a Multimedia PC 2 with an extention number.. When I launch the 4980 client, it connects to the OTS server, gives me an explaination of how it needs to download updates... I does this, restarts by itself and then comes back up in French before giving an error (again in french) the crashes... Am I missing something? A friend old me I may need to set up an IP trunk between the PBX and the OTUC server, but I'm not familiar.

I really wish there were some good docs to refer to, but I'm not able find anything..

Any help would be appreciated,

Thanks,

Scott

First of all, uninstall your 4980 and reinstall it, then when prompted to upgrade say NO. Now you will see the the correct error in english.

You need the IP Trunk (creation is explained in the Call Server Management Chapter 4 of the Docs in the CD3), following this step by step you should not have any problem, also be sure that if your client PC is XP SP2 that the app 4980 (aber exec) is allowed to go outside.
