Hi,

has anyone tried to log on the oxo with telnet?
just use the config port to connect it to youe serial connection.
you can see the whole linux-based system at boot or lola-upload.
you can also login, but unfortunately i dont know the password.
i tried "root" as login and all password from the oxe, but none worked.

could anyone give me a hint or sth like that?
or could anyone send me the manufacturer password for pm5 login?
that would be very useful for me.

have you any success ?? i try it also and have only the swap serial login to see the bootup sequence.
Mayby i can boot another linux via Lola/tftp an reset the root password.

You can login using telnet using the following:
user ftp_nmc
pass tuxalize

But forget about resetting the root password (that is the manufacturer password). You can change that if you have it. Only Alcatel has it. I don't think they gave that to any of their Business Partners.
With the user and password I gave you you don't even have the right to list the directories in it.

One would imagine that there would be an /etc/passwd somewhere that you could overwrite - perhaps before you run LoLa.

Then again, that's just a guess. The OXO could be running a more secure passwording system than the golden oldie that is /etc/passwd!

I might have a bash at it tomorrow when I get to work.

I can say quite honestly that business partners don't get the manufacturer password - the rumour is that it's a key that rotates every 60 seconds and lives on an RSA tag in france.

I don't think that it based on a RSA Key, I've serached the complete software and i'didnt found something like this.

I've found the passwd file.

1. you can not login as root, you have to login as user pso
2. user pso and root have the same password.

I've extracted the md5 hash and I johnit since 5 days.

If I don't find anything, I will patch the passwd file and disable the firewall.
