customer needs solution to interconnect omnipcx office with bp250ericsson pabx. what is the possible ways to interconnect these two pabx over vsat media.

oxo(e1)--cisco router--vsat media---ciscorouter--(bp250)

from oxo side:
what is the required hardware is it t2 (pra t2)connectivity using qsig protocol.

if so how to limit the calls in omnipcx configuration.

can i use dlt2 card with limited b channels on oxo side to inter connect bp250? or prat2 card is necessory?

any additional licenses required.

is there any best solution like audio codes connectivity rather than cisco routers?

and by Vsat you mean? An IP over Satelite connection?

Be at least some specific.

Cisco is doing what? transcoding E1 DSS1 to Voip ?

yes, it is ip over satelite connection, both pabx vendors( alcatel, ericsson) decided to work on qsig protocol.

Silly question:

How much response time (aka ping) you have on satelite link? Much more than 440 ms? (as it's a theoretical trip-time with Geostationary orbit 8) -> one way trip )

BTW:

Code: Select all

$ ping 10.1.1.20
PING 10.1.1.20 (10.1.1.20): 56 data bytes
64 bytes from 10.1.1.20: icmp_seq=0 ttl=63 time=985.225 ms
64 bytes from 10.1.1.20: icmp_seq=1 ttl=63 time=1081.231 ms
64 bytes from 10.1.1.20: icmp_seq=2 ttl=63 time=911.425 ms
If you believe that any kind of Voice Over IP will go over this kind of link, then, well, you are a much believer. Who told you that? Maximum response time for normal VoiceOverIP-technlogy is like 150 ms (apart from small jitter and almost 0% packet loss).

IpOVsat is good for backup internet connection or as a cheap download for big files like DVD images, or if you got a very much branch office in the middle of nowhere, install some normal link
