Alcatel 4039 and DECT 400 - Phone groups question

Hello,

I did a search over the forum but was not able to find out a question to my problem...I will try to explain it :

We have Alcatel phones installed in our company (NOT VOIP). Models are DECT 400 and Desk station 4039.

We have for example a group created for the Helpdesk. (we can enter into it by composing *48 and exit using #48).

This is very handy because we work with shifts and this allow people to go in or out...

The thing is we have two helpdesks and sometime it is required to belong to the 2 groups in the same time.

Is there a way to create a membership that permit to a phone to be in the 2 groups (responding at 2 differents numbers) ?

Actually I have to carry 2 or mores phones and this would be great to have only one and by using codes (like explained above) go in or out of group helpdesk 1 or group helpdesk 2.

Thank you for your help in this,

Kind Regards

The system docs are on this forum (top right, flashing banner) and they cover hunt groups...the rule is a user can only belong to one pcx group at a time.

Thank you for your answer, so that means there is no solution to my problem ?

Or do you have a better idea in our context ?

Manage your extension as multi line. Create 2 virtual terminals (analog Ghost Z) and assign one to a hunt group and one to another. Supervise those 2 sets with keys on your extension. Tick "Take suppervision at off hook" in your user.

Never done this but should work.

Regards.

only pb here will be user will not be able to exit & enter each Hunt group.

Another solution, and it is quite long, is to create 2 fictive user for each real user.

Then create a set supervision for each respective user so user 'A' will have 2 set supervision keys

Then put each of users fictive sets in each HG.

Also, give user 2 keys to set substitute for each of his fictive sets and *48 to enter/exit relevant group. Et Voila! 8)

Yes, but remember, our ghosts are good ones. And Set Substitution is like real Magic! Imagine sitting in a office with 2 pretty girls, you set substitute for one of them and call the other one, then when you speak they will think you are god!

Guarenteed dates! If you real lucky, then 3some!... ok, now I getting carried away
