AA drops calls for phone sets that are fowarded externally

When a caller hits the AA dial by name or extension and selects a user that has there phone fowarded externally, the call is dropped. However if a caller dials the same DID directly the call is fowarded correctly to the external number. :?

Do you have joining activated between incoming call trunk group and outgoing forwarding trunk group (check the Connection COS of both TG's).
If you call the user internally does it reach the fwded number?

Regards.

Not sure about "joining" will check it and COS.
If an internal caller dials the ext directly then yes it does reach the fwded number.
If an internal caller dials the AA and uses the "dial by name" or "dial by ext" option(s) then the call is dropped.

thanks

Check the class of service on the auto attendant extension. This is your problem, it is not allowed to forward to external numbers for security purposes.

Just double checked and the AA extension has a COS = 1 for "external fowarding" which is the COS that enables external fowarding.

Also check your public network class of service and connection class of service.

Public Net COS = 3, which should allow local and LD
Con COS = 0
