Application programmation ?

Hi there ..

I use to program softwares when I was in France, and I have been with Linux since 1996 (version 1.3).. And I would really like to program soft stuff for the alcatel PBX.. The voicemail is running Linux also.. If I knew how the system is setup (database at least), I could do some Windows software that would make queries on the voicemail and have a little message box popup when you have a new message on your voicemail for example, LOL...

Anyone wants to be a part of the team ? :-)

Frank.

Hi there
I am not really sure about VM....
May be we should start another topic:"Which SW application I would like to have?"
Here are my bites:
1. Small, effective graphic Configuration Tool .Everyone knows 47XX is kinda expensive and ...well ...., not effective. When you need just configure some sbs' categories why you should install 47xx?Anyway , it is supposed to be CMIS compliant.
2.CSTA tool for UA simulation. When you have only picture of UA set on your PC and click on picture buttons instead of pressing buttons on UA set.I am talking about GNU-license program not about 4980
3.Of course, off-line DB management tool.

OK.Dream on. :D

hi...

I am OK to create a stuff that can at least read the users (and create / modify): Nice windows interface, and then SQL queries to the switch.. Anyone want to play the game with me ? :-)

Sorry Frank, I've not had that much experience, but if I can help in anyway I will.

I started to play around with a shell script using menus to consult the database, but have not had much time to keep going. I think it would be good to make a shell script for engineers to direct consult the database without using mgr. It is so much quicker in a large network, & we could make it more flexible for consultaion.

Example, customer wants to know how many of each handset is configure for their site, 'mgr' is very cumbersome to achieve

I started to make a script that could consult some info in the database & give totals etc. Was fairly basic, but just some fun. Could be goos for counting users in network, or set types. Kind of like a 'swinst' for less technical people. :)

Using cuser ?

That's the One, but can only use a select instruction otherwise mem & disk will not be synced.

Would be cool to get an ODBC driver and make our own 'mgr' 8)
