Guest extension with Account Code

Hi,

I would like to reinstall OXO from Business to Hotel mode. I want to declare some extensions as guests and allocate to these guests an account code and credit amount. My objective is to have these guests extensions not to be able to place external calls when the credit is finished.

Is this possible ? The OXO is already running in Business mode for a couple of months and I don't want to stop it before I am sure this configuration is possible.

Yes it is. Prepayment is possible on OXO on hotel mode for rooms. You can also integrate it with a PMS via OLD.

So do you confirm that a guest can be allocated an Account Code and use it in prepaid mode?

For more information as it has been a couple of months I didn't work on OXO, can you please clarify the abreviations of PMS and OLD? By PMS, do you mean PM5?

When working in hotel mode you can check in or check out a room. When checked out a room can be configured not to have any rights to dial outside. When checked you configure the rights that the guest have (or prepayment). This can be done using the console (4035 or 4039 on the first UA link with hotel RSL key configured), or using OHL or OLD V24 or ETH link to a PMS.

OHL --->Office Hotel Link
OLD ---->Office Link Driver (replaces on newer releases OHL)
PMS--->Property Management System (application for hotel management)


--->you can integrate OXO with a PMS using OLD driver --->you can check in and assign rights to a guest with just one click from your PMS, accounting for guest integrated in PMS (when checked out you can see the guest bill in PMS), etc, etc

OLD links itself with OXO using ethernet or V.24. PMS links to OLD PC (!!!)'s V.24 or ethernet.

I don't see any reason why not using account codes, but this is usualy done on systems that don't have hotel features.

Some kind of warning: OXO without PMS could have this feature (and count money) only, if tarification/ acccounting is done by pulses, provided by your provider, and NOT by duration of calls.
