Hi,
I had similar issue and I did following:

1) uninstalled Fax Server
2) Stopped sendmail on linux
3) Run checkSystemLinux.sh script from OTUC 5.1.000.583 DVD, this will ask you to enable FAX option, choose Yes and ensure you install all the rpms indicated by script. Once rpms are installed then install FAX server again.

I installed RHEL 5.2 and ran checksystemlinux.sh in the OTUC 6 DVD and installed OFS 6 sucessfuly. Unfortunately my license is for OFS 5.6 and i installed RHEL 4.5 and then OFS 5.6 but this is not sucessful. I even tried running checksytemlinux.sh in OTUC 5 DVD and i still have problems

Hi there,

I tried to install Fax-Server version 6.0.1.25a to RHE 5u2 but everytime i got an error at the end of the installation...

So i used the Boot-CD for RHE 5u2 from the ICS-Server and did the same ive done for the ICS itselve.
Afterwards i started checksystemlinux.sh and choose "yes" at "Do you want to install Fax-Server on this machine?"
so the script checked if everything is fine.

So use the Alcatel RedHat Boot-CD for RedHat-installation and you dont have any problems with the installation of 8450OFS
To grant a successful installation without Alcatel RedHat Boot-CD you have to install ALL Packages from the RHE 5u2 CD and
disable SELinux (I never tried but thats what an Alcatel technican told to me)

Have Fun :)
