Hi everybody.

I've got OTUC 3.0.6 instaled and working with OXE 6.1 and A4635 voicemail. WebSoftphone and A4980 is working. Now, I'd like to integrate it with my Exchange Server to voice messagess and faxes have in my Exchange mailbox. Question is, do I have to have licence for IMAP service on A4635 voicemail (now I unfortunately don't)?
And the 2nd question: I try to configure Universal Directory Service to have my Active Directory access but it doesn't work. I'm going through doc doing everything like in example but still nothing. Does anybody did it with success??

Thanks for any advise
Slawek.

Hi Slawek,

2nd question:

I would check first if you can bind to AD with credentials you configured in UDAS Management. You can use Softerra LDAP browser for it. If it works fine, my question is what do you mean by "still nothing"?

For N° 1:

You must have a license for UM. In your Exchange Server you have to install Nextenso pluging following indications on CD3 of OTUC. Grant permissions and create a special group basically for read all email.

About 4635 IMAP, yes this is IM. You must have a license if you want to use it.

You can have both, UM and IM, but it is optional. None is related in any way to the other.

For N° 2 Softerra will definitively help you finding out configurations and procedures for your LDAP.

OK. Softerra helpd to solve my problem accessing to Active Directory. Thanks.
But I still have problem/difficulties to full Exchange integration. I've installed Nextenso plugin and cofigured as described in documentation. I've got an UM license. I've installed an Outlook Extension. But I don't know how to make to Exchange Server automaticly take ie. my voice message and send it to my Exchange mailbox. I can set Outlook Express IMAP to do that but I would like to have an automatic process. To do that do I have to 4635 IMAP license or it is optional?

Thanks for next advices

Ok first in your OTUC administration page create a Voice Mail as UM.

Go to system / Voice Mail / create

Type: UM
VM number: The number you created in your OXE as External Voice Mail.
PPR: The number created in the same external VM.

Rest as set by default.

When you create the user the set the VM for that user. As i said you can have both, or just one. Select UM.

Then in your user configuration on OXE set the Voice Mail Number for that user as the one already configured in External Voice Mail.

That is all, when someone leaves a voice message will be sent as mail to Exchange. And you can check it in Outlook, OWA, or Dashboard if configured.

OK. Now I understood how it is working. But still have some problem. I created two voice mails in OTUC administration:
1. 4635
2. UM
When I connected my user to 4635 Voice Mail it works fine. But if I try to connect to UM Voice Mail at the and of configuration process I have an error:
Update operation error in database
EXC_UPDATE_UMC_USERslabr
What does it mean? Something is wrong with OTUC or maybe I made a mistake in configuration??

Thanks

Well, I've just realized that my OXE is secured (R6.1) and telnet and ftp is not working (only ssh and sftp). Could this be a problem? Should I set another connecting parameters in OXE or OTUC??

Is there anyway i can access the webadmin to see your configuration? Maybe something like logmein.com? also can you say how VM is configured in your user set?

you should allow OTUC Ip to have full access to your OXE.
