we want to assign ports for printers IP based to the right vlan.
In R7 this was quite easy.
In R8 I'm trying to follow the tutorial on alu4u .
But it looks much easier than it is.

The concrete use case would be to assign all ports with source ip 192.168.140.0/24 to vlan 40.

Our spanning tree is RSTP per Vlan .

On the switch I see root port changes but I do not see from which port to which port.... ?

thanks. That's how I now will remember it. But if you configure the switch on your desktop you normally do not emulate a poe-powered radio link. I had to visit the switch a second time to reconfigure a "user port" as uplink port.

I had an issue this week I just wanted to verify:
I have a 6360-P24 where the uplink is a 1G radio relay link powered by PoE.
As it is an uplink I connected this to the uplink copper port (1/1/25), set to "hybrid-mode copper".

I didn't achieve to power the radio link on 1/1/25. Is that true ...

I see in my OS-9900 (8.8.56.R02) logs the folloing paired (its always those two lines per port)

CMM Port x/x/xx rising above receive threshold
CMM Port x/x/xx falling below receive threshold .

I see the message for copper and for sfp ports.
