Switch Reload and Firmware

Hi,

I am using these switches in environments to increase my customers up time by using this refurbished switches, versus best buy junk (which is what they would purchase). Most switches are fine, I just blow away the config and I am off to the races. Some switches are messed up.

How do I do a complete restore via USB of a switch?
Where do I get the software? Copy from another switch?
I actually tried copying the CF Cards inside the switches on a computer and that didn't work (I am sure folks are checking their heads).

I just need some newbie information on how to reset, reload (some of the switches don't have any img file) etc....

Any help would be appreciated!

USB recovery depends on Uboot/miniboot version because it was introduced as far as i know with 6.3.1 or 6.3.4(?) (or something similar).

If you have such version installed it should be doable.
have a fat16 USB that is detected by alcatel switches (check with another switch "usb enable" should output something as well as "ls /uflash")
