I have a strange fault. I suspect it is the firewall but just need to check my facts here with you guys.
I have a customer Running OXE Common hardware with a few remote shelves.
They all use internal MOH during the year. (VG 2)
Xmas time they want me to change the MOH to respective external MOH sources so customers can hear their Xmas promotions.
Main site - MOH Box connected on GD
Problematic remote shelve - MOH box via Analog equipment
For the Main site: (Entity 1)
I delete VG 2 and recreate as Tone 2 with Combined basic tone no 31 and so it plays via the GD the external music. It works 100%
For the Remote site: (Entity 20)
I change their on hold from 2 to 171 (171 is external MOH via Analog Equipment connected on site). The MOH box failed and they were getting the backup tone 56 so I changed backup tone to 2 so they can hear the MOH of the main site until they fix their external MOH box.
If I do a Tonetest from a phone on the main site or on a softphone over VPN (#02 0171) I can hear the external MOH from the main site which means it is playing the Backup tone.
However the staff sitting at the remote site can not hear any music when doing a tontest and when I phone the remote site and ask them to put me on hold there is no music.
Last year this setup worked but now it does not. IT confirmed they swopped firewalls earlier in the year but copied all configs across (Which is always the case
What I need to know is which ports will they need to look at for this setup to start working?
I sent them the ports from the OXE documentation now - GD as initiator and GD as Responder? Is this assumption correct that it would be a GD to GD communication?
