Fax CLIP

Post by jabial »

Currently the system is configured so that the same CLIP is used whatever extension is used - which is what we want, so the clients always call back the operator and not the employee who called them. However, there should be an exception - the fax. Attributing a CLIP number to the extension doesn't seem to change anything. Does that mean I have to remove the systemwide CLIP and then enter a CLIP number for each of our 12 extensions?

I do not understand your question: the problem is the identity displayed on the sets or the Z-CLIP feature for analog sets (clip on analog terminals ---> Z-class extension)?

The problem is the identification number that is sent outside when the fax is calling.

There is an option under each user, I believe it is under the Misc button. You can define an alternate CLIP/COLP.

I think this is what you are looking for.

Yeah, I'm learning OXO!

This is what I filled, to no avail. It looks like I need to deactivate the system-wide identification number for it to be taken into account ; that means I need to fill this option for each extension.

you are correct, the alternative CLIP in the installation number will override anything you have in the subscribers alternative CLIP

Guess I still have some to learn :D That sucks, huh. In OXE it's the other way around.
