Line Dropping.

Post by Vorryn »

Hello everyone.

I have a client who switched from an old Lucent PBX to the Alcatel OXO one of R7. The install went ok and they started usaing the OXO with no problems.
They have 2 lines on the OXO. A PRA-T2 line of 30 channels and a normal, 2 B-Channel ISDN line.

The problem is that I have had reports that around the time we switched PBXs the users would complaint of their conversations going dead while talking.

I have no Alarms on the PRA access and that has been seen happening over the ISDN line aswell. Their telephone device is working as usual; it does not turn off. They just have to onhook their phones and redial the number that they where speaking with.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance!

Check your software release, then search the forums. There is known problems with a release of R7

Software release is R 700_012_005. Are you telling me this is a known problem with this release?

Thanks

May be some problem with synchronization? Do you have checkbox "Clock delivery allowed" on PRA-T2 access? And with what priority? Usually = 0.

Priority was 0 and initially, while the problem was exibiting itself, the clock delivery was allowed. Besides unchecking the clock delivery, I upgraded via software download from 700.012 to 700.015.

I will let you guys know if something comes up. If you have any bright ideas until you hear from me let me know.

Thanks!

there was a known issue with that release whereby callers put on hold or parked then retrieved by someone else caused callers in conversation to end up with 1 way transmission. fortunately Alcatel were pretty quick to realise this was an issue and i had a beta fix in no time at all.

this is fixed in the latest version.
