What do want to do with 4635 via LAN?
You need this for IMAP, SW download or backup feature.
For management you need to use V24 cabel.

I think that 1-2 months ago there was discussion regarding this topic, so why to write same thing twice.
Please search this forum. Also there are docs for alcatel pbx in the top-right corner.

Why doesn't anyone on this forum provide helpful information?
The only thing I ever see is snarky remarks like, why don't you read the manual or that topics already been covered so do a search.
I think he's confused and rightfully so, as this voicemail system is incredibly old and archaic.
There are two logons.
The VPx35 logon is for the VM's system management.
To access the administration management interface for voicemail you need to connect through the serial connection.
Alternatively, you can purchase an IP>Serial convertor to get this thing closer to the 21st century.
So once you've cleared the painful hurdle of connecting to the box you will then need to know how to get to the management page.
This is in no way intuitive. Here are some steps to get you started.
1) Telnet to the box
2) Username/pass
3) At first prompt type “c 5”
4) Before you receive another prompt hit 2222 and Enter
5) Hit 9 for “Change Mailbox”
6) Hit 1 for “Change Mailbox Profile”
7) Type the four digit local and hit enter
Use arrow keys to navigate to “Change temporary password”
9) Enter new pass and hit F4
10) Go back to main menu (CTRL+C goes back) and then hit CTRL+A x2
11) At RMA prompt type Exit hit enter
12) Celebrate!
