Telnet to the voicemail

Hi there !

Is there a way to set up the OmniPCX so once we are connected inside, we can telnet to the voicemail instead of using the RMA ?

get a IP to Serial convertor, most my customer use it.

Hi..

I think you can use MINICOM, configuring it on /dev/TTYS1.
You want to connect then the voicemail on A0 or A1 (I don't remember) on the RMA box.

This solution works ONLY with main cpu (with main role)

This is not supported by alcatel

It seems that you need to reconfigure minicom after each upgrade

So you can play with it just to try, but don't install it 'as it' on customer site

Yeah,

RWhiting got me into the Lantronix box.
Pretty cool, you plug on side to the network, give an IP address, and you plug the other side to a serial port. It's kind of like a moxa box, but cheaper. Works great !
