Battery issue on IPT 310
Hi guys,
I was wondering how are these equipments going on your side, we have a customer with like 40 of these and all of them after a few months of working the batteries just die. We have to replace all of them like 2 times already, Alcatel says that they are using it bad, ok, the 40 equipments???
We think it may be the chargers but no way to prove it.
Do you have same issue?

Re: Battery issue on IPT 310
I have a customer with 6 IPT 310's that I put in 5-6 months ago and no problems yet...
My normal rule for any wireless device is do not charge it until the battery is almost dead. If you leave it on the charger all the time it over charges the battery and kills it. Motorola is very bad about this, their batteries suck anyways.

So how does user knows when does the battery is full or to be filled up? The problem is that this is for a hotel solution so as you can imagine guests will almost always leave the phone charging...

That should only apply to Ni-Mh batterries not for Litium ---> correct me if I'm wrongtorrentula wrote:I have a customer with 6 IPT 310's that I put in 5-6 months ago and no problems yet...

Both ipt 310 AND 610 have Litium batteries by my knowledge, so you should be able to charge them when you want and not be afraid o0f overcharging issues.

Yes, ours do have Lithium batteries. What can be the problem then? We already changed all batteries...and again they died a while later.

Defective chargers or batteries.

Re: Battery issue on IPT 310
I'll ask if we have changed chargers. But that all batteries in two sends are deffective (different shipments) is very hard to think.
Thanks tot and torrentula, will keep updating this.
If you have further info please let me know.

I'll ask around here. I've never installed VoWlan, but one of my colleagues had 2 recent installations.
