Anyone knows how to put the boot.cfg file from the 6850

hye..

Like as topic Anyone knows how to get the boot.cfg file from the 6850, can we put the boot.cfg file to 6850. I already get the boot.cfg file from 6850 and then i want to put that file to enter the configuration as normally i saved before. Can right??

If you upload the boot.cfg via FTP you need to reload your switch to boot from this config.

If you upload it with a different name like "additional-config.cfg" you can use the

Switch-> configuration apply additional-config.cfg verbose

to load it into the running-config.

Afterwards you need to do a "write memory" to save your new boot.cfg file.

what the ftp and tftp PUT command to the restore boot.cfg from remote or local host??
plz give me that command k..

Hi!
CISCO has command "alias exec wrt copy running-config ftp:...", it copies running-config to FTP server automatically. Anybody knows has 6850 the same functionality?
Or perhaps there is a SNMP commands to copy running-config or boot.cfg to FTP server? Anybody use this commands? Can you post an example of usage of this command?
