Accounting tickets

Post by j.kariuki »

Hi guys,
I am not getting any accounting tickets from an OXE release 9 both from console port or Ethernet link, despite configuring the ports in the same way with lower releases which works perfectly. Anyone with an idea what else i should do? Secondly has anyone tried using the A4740 on the same release 9 version and does it work?

And what APP you use for accounting?
As you write 'A4740' that means: you could possibly be using 4715, and havn't read the docs.
So, be aware that accounting ticket format has changed from R8.0.1 to R.9

the old management tools were obsolete some years ago, time to upgrade.
Your BP should have told you that before migration to R9.

I have configured accounting in release 9.0 the same way as former releases, without problems.
But I use Omnivista 4760 for accounting, not A4740.
This is very old management software. You should try to use the OmniVista 4760 for accounting with release 9.0.

Are the accounting tickets created in /usr4/account?

No accounting tickets are being created 0n usr4/account/. I was trying to use a third party accounting software and i couldn't get tickets even after configuring the real time tickets output to V24. i have also tried the dhs3_init -R INTERNAL_TAX command but i get a ''o tickets generated'' message on the hyperterminal

Sorry for reviving such an old thread, I've just upgraded a client from R8.0 to R11.0 and his external accounting application over IP no longer works. Are the changes in ticket format from R8.0.1 to R9.0 documented in TC or the manual? I can't find anything...

Thank you...
