Re: Fax Server Back UP
I'd try to back up the complete folder of the ofs. I have not seen a script for backup...interesting question.
Re: Fax Server Back UP
Copied from the Maintenace Guide:
Managing the Services
This section shows how to easily and quickly stop or start the services of the fax server.
As an alternative to the use of Windows Services interface, a tool is provided with OmniTouch Fax
Server, allowing you to manage easily the services of the fax server. To access this tool (a command-line
executable file):
1. Through the command line, access the /opt/ofs/scripts folder.
2. Choose the action to perform:
• Type ./xmservices stop If you need to stop all the services, or
• Type ./xmservices start If you need to start all the services.
3. Validate the command.
Note: The services may take a few minutes to change status.
Backing Up OmniTouch Fax Server
Once all the services are stopped, you can decide to backup all existing files and data. It is recommended
that you do it on all the machines part of the OmniTouch Fax Server system. The backup should include:
• /opt/ofs/firebird
• /opt/ofs/Data
• /opt/ofs/Config
• <mysql>/Data
• /opt/ofs/registry
Note: A script is available to perform automatically all the necessary copies and services managing
described here. You only need to execute the following command line:
./copy-data.sh folder_name
where folder_name is the name of the folder where all the data folders listed previously will be
copied as backup.
To restore all these folders, you need to:
1. Stop all OmniTouch Fax Server services and the MySQL services.
2. Copy the /registry, /Data and /firebird folders from the backup folder to the /opt/ofs
folder.
Note: It would be safer to delete these three destination folders in /opt/ofs before
performing the copy.
3. Copy the mysqldata/Data folder from the backup folder to the <mysql>/Data folder.
4. Restart all OmniTouch Fax Server services and the MySQL services.
