Echo issues---DECT 200/300

Post by leo »

Hi,

Release 8.0, g1.302-5, C6S2.
The system has been upgraded from Release 5 to Release 8 about an year ago.
The issue being faced is when a call is made or received from DECT 200/300 sets via analog external lines there is echo.
There are some FCT lines also patched to the same NDDI board on which there is no such issue at all.
If call is made from analog phone or didgital phone there is no echo. The issue is only and only when DECT sets are involved.
Hope for some guidance.

hello,

have you checked the audio parameters in mgr "/System/PWT/DECT Audio Parameters (dB)" against a clean fresh database.?

Hello tgn,

Yes we have...We even tried varying them....specifically analog external parameters under echo cancellation without success.

Is there echo while receiving a call from DPT1 ?
If not, I strongly suggest you open a case with ALU, and you let us know what's the fix..

Thanks

It's hard to analyze this without beeing onsite...

You could try to play with the Echo Cancellation.
1st) System - Force gain adaptation = False
2nd) Dect System - Default Echo Cancellation = NO
3rd) Dect System - Echo cancel (try different settings)
I suggest to read TC0339 - Audio level and echo with DECT

The DECT Audio Parameters (dB) for Mobiles are by default 0-0-5-5
