DECT basestations reset during BASCUL

Post by fishfinger »

Hello,

Has anyone experienced DECT basestations to reset during a BASCUL.

Appliance servers running OXE s/w rl: 9.1

Thanks,

Probably a synchro problem. Check the documentation regarding synchro with Appliance server.

Believe this has ALWAYS happened on twin cpu sites since Day1. Only way to stop it was using Crystal and two sets of DECT-8 cards to handle the clocking so it was able to stay up during a switch-over.

cheers tot3nkopf, mtconsulting,

I've changed the setting on the dect cards to use dect timing - dtm. System h/w is crystal. il see how that goes and monitor during next bascul.

thanks

Make sure you have a DECT clocking card on the first mounting pos on each board assigned to each CPU, with the clock daughter cards you'll end up with the system clock free running and more problems, the clock card sits underneath the main daughter cards towards the front as it sits in the chassis, its about the size of a matchbox.
