Don't Know right thread - Connecting OXE - Elastix

Post by tiagofelix »

First of all.... hello everyone, this is my first post on this the new forum. Congratulations for this new look!

Now... to work...

I have managed to connect OXE to Elastix(Asterisk Based) via SIP. Created a trunk on OXE, configured SIP, changed Network Routing Table to QSIG-GF. I can communicate (make a call) from OXE to Elastix and otherways also. I also can associate a DID with an Elastix Extension and... it rings... My problem is from Elastix calling to a public line. I created outbound routes but Elastix cannot exit to outside world.
OXE is connected to "world" via T2 to provider.

Any ideas on what i am missing? I dont even know if problem on OXE or Asterisk side!

PS: Sorry for posting here but i had no idea where to put this post

Any help apreciated.... THANKS!

Hello, not the one highlighted but what I ment was Public network COS which I see is 31. have you cheched that 31 has access to the outside numbers you are calling? can you provide a sip trace of a call trying to go out.
1:telnet to the PCX
2: type command motortrace 1 (this is lowest level to start with)
3: type command traced and capture the output. type ^c to stop the trace.
Best Regards

Here is output from trace:
TRACE

Some more info:
10.13.2.240 is alcatel gateway
10.13.2.235 is ASterisk Gateway
From what i read, when i call 0263400262 (public number) alcatel returns -1 which i assume it is NOT registred. So, alcatel is looking for a local number instead of routing it for the outside world.
PS: A company installed alcatel PBX and my certification is ACSP (Switching, not voice) so everything done is just by self learning and manual's reading. However i did know that you were asking for Public COS, what i dont know is where to check if this public COS has access to Outside World. I changed public COS to 0, which is the same as another trunk i have for an old Matra (nortell), which i use for faxes only. My purpose is to interconnect OXE and Asterisk and do a Fax server. I am on initial phase where i am just trying to make calls between PBX and to outside. Please be patient with me as i am not a SuperHyper VoIP Master :D

Try to send the ARS or TG seizure prefix in front of the public number (number sent must be the one that a regular user on OXE uses TG or ARS seizure + ext number; Public Network Cos - PNC of the SIP TG must be the same as on a user that can dial the number sent).

The trace is incomplete (I cannot see from to fields...)
