There are 2 products that I know of regarding SKYPE integration with the OXE. They work GREAT !

- VOSKY --> http://www.vosky.com
- SKYPE GATEWAY --> http://www.skype.com/intl/en-us/business/sip/overview <<PROBABLY YOUR BEST BET>>

We already have a Vosky box in one location, trying the Skype gateway on other locations.

Such great information in this forum!

skip2pbx works fine. I have this in my lab. OXE is not among the PBX's which are ratified by skype as ok for direct SIP trunking (probably SBC needed) - didn't test it yet.

Hi,

Right now I'm finding a soultion for integration of Skype with Alcatel OXE. I saw that skip2pbdx works with OXE. Is this the same software as Alcatel-Lucent Skype Gateway or this are 2 diferent softwares? Is the any limitation in software release of OXE for using Skype gateway?

I hope that I understand correctly meaning of the Gateway. Skype gateway registers as Skype user. If external Skype user call the user which is registerd on Skype gateway call is forwarded to some internal extension on OXE? What about outgoing calls from OXE. As I understod internal user must size trunk to Skype Gateway and than enters short number of Skype user that he wants to call.

I would be really gratefull for any information so I can check if I understood it corectly. Does anybody have experiance in skip2pbx configuration for OXE. I tried to configured it but did not menage to make calls with OXE. I have creted External Gateway on OXE like in system documentation.

I don't know if skip2pbx is the same as ALU Skype Gateway (but I think they are because I remember I saw a document with ALU and skip2pbx partnership).

In skip to PBX you configure inbound rule from one skype account towards a user number to be sent to OXE (inbound). For outbound: OXE can send normal number (if you have this kind of subscription on skype) and user number corresponding to the skype account that you want to use. In skip2pbx you can configure like you said short numbers corresponding to skype external accounts. In this way you can call a skype account directly from your PBX extension (number dialed is the short number configured in skip2pbx). Also there are applications developed with XML server in order to assign automatically in skip2pbx an external account with inbound rule (application: using XML enabled phones a user logs on with skype, enabling him to receive calls on his personal skype account).

Another thing is that you can buy normal inbound number on one skype account in different regions of the world. What I do not understand is if I can assign more than one skype accounts to one external number (in order to reproduce the functionality of an ISDN line --> this will really be great). Anybody has any idea?

I will search my skip2pbx virtual machine and post the configs (I remember it was straightforward to configure).

Regards.
