busy tone for external calls

Post by daweed »

Hi all,

My problem is:
When party is busy and external call arrive the signal tone is busy and this is OK.

But when party has voice mail configured and external call arrive first three tones are normal and then is voice guide of voice mail.

And my question is where i can change first tones from normal to busy or remove any tones and just leave voice guide ?

If you have ring back tone - user not total busy. Manage public network (access) COS - incoming DID hold on busy set=0.
I think in this case you will have immediate overflow (instead of overflow on no answer).

it was set for 0
The ring back tone only occurs when user has voice mail enabled

When external caller hear ring back tone - called user hear "waiting calls" tone or not?
May be user belong to hunt group? In this case used public network COS from HG instead of declared in user parameters.

And next one - about overflow to VM. Overflow to VM declared via user/dynamic state user - associated set=VM number and overflow item checked (and overflow on busy)? Or via phone feature COS - default overflow type (overflow on no answer, on busy, on no answer and busy?) and default overflow address?

Overflow to VM is showing up itself in "user/dynamic state user" after enabling VM Dir. no. in "user"
overflow on busy: false

Default overflow type : No forward
Default Overflow Address: Nothing
