Route calls through another node

Post by dpozsai »

I have been searching accross this forum, but I have not found how could I configure this.

I want to route external calls made from a user of a node in a IP ABC network through a trunk defined in another node of the network.

All calls between users in the nodes in the ABC network are made correctly, so it should be something I'm missing.

I added an ARS entry to match the dialed string I want to sent through the other node, and I select the IP trunk which is used to create the ABC network. But the call does not porgress. What should I choose here? Or should I do something else?

Thanks in advance

May be two default error:
- connection COS 5 - if you have "0" for connection COS 5-5 - transit forbiden.
- when you select discriminator (for logical from ARS prefix) - manage Entity /discriminator selector for TG entity (not user Entity).

Check ARS local user node 1 dials ars prefix, discriminator selected and ars route chosen. in the chosen ars route the trunk group should be the trunk gp on node 2.
make sure you have done an audit between nodes so that node 1 knows about the trunk gp on node 2.
you should not nee to put the ip trunk in ars anywhere.

Thanks for the info, I will take a look into it.
I'm afraid they are not broadcasting as in some nodes of the network they are sharing the same number for a trunk, so I will need to check which are broadcasting and which not.

This is the ticket.

Thanks for the help.
I manged to route the calls succesfully as the desired trunk was unique across the network.

Though I will need to have a look into changing quite some trunk numbers across the network to be able to route more calls.

Thanks a lot for the help.
