killall sipmotor : operation not permitted

Hi
I have just installed rel 9.1, configured sip trunk, network routing table, gateway and one extension. When i try now killall sipmotor then i get the following messg:

sipmotor ( 1631): operation not permitted
sipmotor ( 14337): operation not permitted
sipmotor ( 14338): operation not permitted
sipmotor ( 14339): operation not permitted
sipmotor: no process killed

please advise what should i do now??

give dhs3_init -R SIPMOTOR to kill sipmotor

Thank you sir, i will try this and let you know. will it just kill sipmotor or will restart also?

Not sure, but as I remember - after SIP gateway and TG declatation (first time) - you need to restart PBX.

Youu need login as root, its changed in R9.1. No need for that in R8.0

Really? It is necesary to login as root? Usually you get that error when you did not create any SIP TG or SIP user. However, I am not using R9.1 yet. Regards.

ALU support offered to login as root, I have opened SR on earlier mentioned messages.

oxe_4400 is right. From R9.1 you need to login as root to execute a 'killall sipmotor' command.
Guess ALU finds this command is for real experts only....

I have been advised that the killall is not required now as the dhs3_init command now works correctly so you sould only need that one now. I have not has to use killall for a long time now.
