Hi all
I have an issue here that I'm struggling with since last year. I have been trying to connect IP Phones to a Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch that is hooked up to an OXE, but the phones kept on rebooting. The binaries are downloaded properly but the phones could not complete the boot process. I was struggling with issue when the OXE was on R7.0, but I managed to fix it by modifying the UDP Packet Loss timer on the QOS settings, I found the solution in one of the posts. Late last year, we upgraded to R9.1, and we are back to the old issue, the phones kept on rebooting. Even when I modified the UDP Packet Loss timer, still wouldn't work. I did a test in the Lab with a clean database and the phones just boot up with no issue. Only when I used the customer's DB when I have issues. I believe that there must be a parameter that should be modified but I really don't know what I'm looking for. I just hoping if anyone had come across the same problem before.
Many Thanks

To what value have you modified the UDP Packet Loss timer ?
Same problem here, ipphones sometimes just reboot without any reason.

Re: IP Phones on Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch
I modified it to 27.
The funny thing is when I use a new DB in the Lab, it works fine, only when I use the Customer's DB, the issue arises. I have logged an ESR, I will update on the progress.
Cheers

Re: IP Phones on Cisco Catalyst 3750 switch
We managed to solve our issue, the '8021Q Used' parameter in IP QOS was set to True, False was the default so we put it back to default and the IP Phones started working on the Cisco Switches. We had to set it to True when the OXe was on R7.0, to get the IP Phones working on Cisco switches and OXE R7.0, we had it on True and the UDP Packet Loss timer on 27. We just forgot to revert it when we upgraded to R9.1.
Anyways, we got it all working now.
