Re: SIP "200 OK" message, contact info question
you have to be a certified technician to be able to download software release.
Re: SIP "200 OK" message, contact info question
I checked again your problem and compared a few old logs - seems to me that an upgrade to the latest patch won't help you at all.
I see such a behavior on different releases(e.g. R7 and R8.0.1 with MyTW) - and it looks like it is a correct way to handle RE-INVITE. Cause IPTouch is located behind SIP Gateway(OXE) and OXE acts as UAC/UAS in this case. If you check RE-INVITE sent from SIP TG you will notice that it contains INVITE sip:OXE_address header, not INVITE sip:IPTouch_number@OXE_address. So that's why OXE uses Contact:OXE_address header in OK message.

If it looks like a duck, swims like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it probably is a duck.

yes i agree with alex ...just saw the notes of the new release and there is no correction about this matter.
the thing comes to my mind is ...
the iptouch is set to NOE mode or SIP?
also
the lanpbxbuild file is configured?

Re: SIP "200 OK" message, contact info question
Just checked and the iptouch phones are in NOE mode. I would like to put them in SIP node if possible so i followed the following doc
http://enterprise.alcatel-lucent.com/pr ... e-ed02.pdf
the doc has instructions for 4008/4018 iptouch phones , i have 4028/4038 phones but thought i would follow that process.
I created a sip-macaddress.txt file . I attached the file to this post.
Do you know what directory i put the config file into on the OXE ?
The settings in lanbpxbulid are:
IP download: 10.10.9.111
IP CPU 1: 10.10.9.110
APPLICATION_TYPE = APPL_NOE
but i found a file called lanpbx.cfg which has following:
TYPE=A4400 VERSION=1 IP_DOWNLOAD=10.10.9.111 IP_CPU1=10.10.9.110
Do i need to set the APPLICATION_TYPE= APLL_SIP in lanpbxbuild config to be able to load the SIP firmware onto the phones ?
Just to make sure i have the neccesary sip firmware , i have attached an image of my /usr2/downbin directory on CS .. i am trying to load firmware onto a 4028 and 4038 phone ...does it look like i have the correct sip firmware available to load onto the phones ?

do not change anything in lanpbx.cfg file if you r not trained technician.any change can cause you unplesant result.
run the command lanpbxbulid -auto and then reboot. But first contact the installer cause you never know what is configured.
binaries downloads automaticly when there is a request to the pbx so dont bather this way.

Re: SIP "200 OK" message, contact info question
i ran the "lanpbxbuild -auto" command and my 4028 phone doesnt load the sip binaries.
i looked at the syslog traces and i can see errors. See attached syslog screenshot.
From looking at the syslog it looks like the phone is requesting sipconfig.txt and sipconfig-macaddress.txt files via tftp.
I had made those files and put in a directory on the OXE but i took them off completely.
there seems to be 3 sipconfig_init: errors at the top of the syslog.... do you know how i go about fixing these ?

What about forget about OXE and use a simple TFTP server where you put your files? I know this is what some guys did on my company and worked fine

now that my handset is in SIP mode , is there anything config wise i need to do with the user ?
or is the user config the same for a handset in SIP mode and NOE mode ?
