Display Clock
Okay why does the display clock show the wrong date until you pick up the handset? The time is correct but the date is wrong. It is no big deal to me but many people in our organization use the display info and it is not always correct.
Re: Display Clock
Which type of set?
It's normally done by a cronjob every night with a command called setdate.

Re: Display Clock
crontab -l
Code: Select all
1 0 * * * /DHS3bin/oneshot/mtcl/tool setdate >/tmpd/term_date.out 2>/tmpd/term_date.errs-

Re: Display Clock
if i type in setdate and the date it does not update it on the phones. Not sure how long it would take the system to update all the 2000 phones?

Hello,
i know this bug. Which Release do you use?
There is one other thing you can try first:
hwclock
If the BIOS Clock has many seconds difference to the systemclock you may have a problem.
try
hwclock --hctosys
to synchronize them.
The next thing is to check what the source of your systemtime is. Try
ntpq -p
and
mgr -> shelf -> board -> digital access -> Network Date Time Update + Yes
If you have more then one source you may get these Problems...

Re: Display Clock
I made these changes and the issue still persists. Just to mention it again that the time is correct but the date is not correct. It seems like the sets do not refresh their information the way they should.

Re: Display Clock
Are you using NTP? Time/zone well configured?
Did you reboot after setting it up? Do you use date and time update on an E1 link?
