How is maximum parallel phones on eache eZ32 port

Hi All,

our customer required me to connect up to 07 phones parallel on each analog port (eZ32 card).

i know that it is impossible but dont know how many phone exactly can connect and could not find any document show this.

Any pro know this pls share me this issue and which document show this (i need to show our customer).

It is simple as that:

I=U/R

There are some conditions you should take care of but the main are subscriber loop current and REN.
Standard SLIC detects off-hook condition at 10 mA. If you connect 7 sets in parallel and leak current is more than 10 mA then Z board would detect this as off-hook and your phones will be busy all the time. Also when ringing if the current is above the limit then ringing voltage is dropped - your 7 phones would not ring.

For this feature normally a PBX was developped. It splits one line in many lines to connect phones.
Usually the Maximum is one.
In Germany you have AWADo (sometimes called AMS) devices which switch automatically between 4 phones connected to one line.

I have 4 phones (Teledex) connected to one eZ32 port w/o any problems.

Depends of phone type and connection type. if you connect in parallel many phones but without ring circuit - no problem.

my case, customer need to setup upto 100 rooms with 4 parallel phones.
i wonder it effect to eZ32 cards performance.

I have over 800 rooms with 3 and 4 phones.
