MIC Outllook Client Extension Unavailable

Post by sitig »

Hi all

Received the following message when starting Outlook: "OmniTouch 8400 ICS extension are unavailable". Suspected that the username & password is wrong and "Remember Password" option is activated.

I'm trying to find a way to force the login dialog box to be displayed on start-up. I know that we can change the server parameters in the Registry for the ICS Client and hoping that there's someone who has dealt with this issue before.

Best Regards

Check the Reverse DNS of the ICS
ICS must be forward und reverse and the DNS Server

Hi, I fixed this issue by rebooting the ICS server.

Cheers

The reboot didn't really fix the issue. I found out that the proxy settings on the client PC has an effect on this. Proxy server should be configured to treat all requests to ICS and ACS as local requests. I guess in our case we have to do this as the OXE and the UC servers sit on a separate subnet from the customer's.
