OmniTouch UC IP Softphone

Post by sitig »

Hi All

I'm a bit confused with this Softphone thing. What I saw on the the Technical Config file was the following:
FI Code: 40338
FI Designation: IP Users(e-Reflexs/8 series/OmniTouch UC IP Softphone)
Value: 15

SoftKey: 138
Designation: IP Clients
Value: 15

What I was told by our Pre Sales is that the customer has 15 IP Softphone license. While configuring the IP Touch 4068 Softphone emulation, the OXE is rejecting this configuration and spits out a Software Key License error.

Is there any other Softphone apllication the mentioned license is referring to that I am not aware of?

Many Thanks.

IP Softphone Desktop doesn't have nothing to do with UC...
Those are 2 complete different applications. Please explain better what you are trying to do.

Thanks Cavagnaro

I am trying to install and configure IP Softphone Desktop. I've done this before and I'm trying to explain to our presales that they ordered the wrong softkey, because when I try to activate the Softphone emulation on TSC-IP, "Software license key error" was displayed. I guess we need to order either IP Softphone Agent key 329 or IP Softphone Attendant key 328.

Cheers

Managed to configure the Embedded MIC SIP client. I'm not sure whether this is a licensed feature and is referring to 40338 - IP Users(e-Reflexs/8 series/OmniTouch UC IP Softphone) on the Technical Config file. Anyways, I'm not worried too much about this for now.
