SIP iPhone Clients and OMNI PCX

With IOS 4, Acrobits Softphone now has beta support for background process on the iPhone.

The good news is the SIP client is starting to work well.

I am able to float all over my 4 floors in the building and cross multiple access points without issues.

The only few issues I had and which I got help from terra was doing a Set Supervision of another set. It took a little configuration with creating a Shell with a VA Extension so we could do a remote extension. but all is working.

Other notes are,

I did pay for the upgrade to the G.729 codec to get some better quality out of my sketchy bandwidth and for it to work. After talking to terra as well, it turned out to be some disabled codecs just needed to be turned on. but for less than 20 bucks for a sip client, I am not complaining.

Iphone gets its notifications (data) through Wifi and Voice communication is made through Iphone sim GSM capabilities.
That's what My IC Mobile or Multimodal Communication Companion apps do.
May be some of your customers already ask to replace DECT by Iphone using Wifi access points network ...
But What about when GSM network is non available ?
Now comes the question : how to get OXO voice communication from Iphone only using Wifi network ?
