Telecommunications Certifications

Hello, I am somewhat new to Telecommunications - but have worked in Networking and System Administration for about 17 years. Coming from that background, I am familiar with many certification paths for different specialties. (MCITP, CCNP, etc)

Are there similar certifications that Telecommunication Professionals look to as better than others. Honestly, I have only seen ASCE - but have no idea what that is.

In Alcatel-Lucent world you have only 2 levels of certification for an engineer over a product:
ALCFE - Alcatel-Lucent Certified Field Engineer --> kind of technician level (this is an online exam)
ALCSE - Alcatel-Lucent Certified System Engineer --> advanced level of expertise over a product (composed of 2 parts --> theoretical exam + practical exam)

You must bare in mind that having ALCSE on OXE doesn't make you an expert on other vendor's products (like Nortel or Avaya).

Of course ALCSE looks better than ALCFE.

There are also presales and sales certifications.

A person told me that I can find examples of examans in bussines partner portal, but I can find it.

It's real this??

They used to be available on Business Partner portal. Now on Business Portal they are not available (yet - they say --> but is "yet" from the beginning of the site use till now).
