SIP extensions and open dialing plans

Post by madams »

Wondering if anybody else has seen this issue: I have an x-lite set registered on the PBX. This set is defined as SEPLOS (SIP extension-- on a 4400 running release 9.1). We are having an issue when dailing into descriminator rules the allow for variable length number (open dialing plans). So when a countries dail plan allows this we generally use 25 as the number length in the descriminator rule. My x-lite/SEPLOS extension doesn't like waiting for the inter-digit timer to expire the call fails immediately. When dailing within the USA or UK, for example, where the number of digits is of a fixed length and that lenghth is defined in the descriminator rule, no problem. When using the "#" end-of-dailing string from the client the calls work but this requires the user to when to ue the "#" key.
So I have reviewed the SIP timers and x-lite configurtion but can't find a fix other that to control the number lenght in the descriminator rules...

hi

did you try in the discriminator rules to put 255 number of digits?
this allow you to dial as many digits as you want...and when you stop dialling (after end of dialling timer )the call establish..

Hello,
I have tried 255 as the number lenght it appears as though the SIP extensions don't like the inter digit timer.
